The main objectives of MCCT is within the guideline of social welfare council to share the love and care with orphan children and other needy Nepalese children by providing them necessary services, so that they can growing up to be good citizens of the nation.

i) Background:
Nepal is an underdeveloped country. The living condition of most of the Nepali children is so miserable that nothing can be expected from them in future. Discrimination has worsened the situation of Nepali children. They have been displaced from their home, depriving them of their basic needs and rights. Children are the future of a country. They need to be raised in such an environment where they can feel a sense of love, care and spirituality. They need good education then a country can expect positive contribution in future from children. So with a view to share love and care with children, Mamta Childcare Trust (MCCT) has been running a children’s home since 15 shrwan 2063. The children home has been providing food, shelter, clothing, education, healthcare etc to the children.

ii) Problem Identified in the Project are:
Base on the report published by UNICEF, National Planning commission we can fined that ,there are 6000 children are living on the streets of Nepal.80,000 children are orphans among them 8000 children have been orphaned in Political violence in Nepal. Likewise, the reports of UNICEF show that there are 2.6 million children laborers in Nepal.

iii) Priority and selection criteria:
-Those children whose parents are dead.
-Those children who have no one to take care of them.
-Those children who have no home.
-Those children who are in risk.
-Those children who are not able to go to school.
-Those children who are poor.
-Those children who are socially discriminated.

Children are the age of 5 to 16 is eligible to live in Mamta Children’s Home. The Home will give priority to above mentioned children. Home will take the children in on the recommendation and request of district police office, local bodies such as VDCs and ward committee.

7. Objectives of the Project:
a. To provide parental love and care to the children.
b. To give a homely environment to the children living in the home.
c. To provide the basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing to the children.
d. To provide education and health care to the children.
e. To Advocate child rights and as well as their duties.
f. To makes them mentally, physically, psychologically and spiritually fit for establishing social relationships with other peoples.
g. To equip with the qualitative of a good citizen.

8. Activities to carry out under the project
a. Educational program:
The children living Mamta children’s home are given formal education up to class seven at present Mamta children’s home has 16 children studying at Jupiter Boarding school, lalitpur. They are studying different classes from Nursery to seven.

b. Health Care program:
Mamta children’s Home pays attention to maintain good health condition of the children living in the home to provide of first aid to the children, Home has run a health clinic on its premises. in care of emergency children are immediately taken to hospital and health center .in the normal condition, home has arrange regular general health check-up to the homes children. Home has also manage to maintain each child’s health profile.

c. Extra curricular activities:
Mamta children’s home conduts extra curricular activities such as sports contests, quiz contest, drawing and painting competitions, cultural programmes. Within the children .there types of activities will help to bring out the skill and abilities of the children which are useful to all-round development of children.

d. Counselling program:
Home will condoles counseling activities for adolescents and grown –up children living in the home. it helps to meet the needs of adolescent boys and girls .home are giving counseling on HIV/Aids and other related problem to adolescents,

e. Refresh mental program:
Mamta children’s home manage refresh mental program to the children, such as picnic with homes family, celebrate major festival. Outside the residential environment.

f. Residential program:
Home manages the basic needs for the children like fooding, clothing and sheltering as a homely environment.

9. Project implementation process:
Mamta childcare trust has appointed a home-incharge to run the children’s home smoothly. The in-charge will whole responsible for day to day activates of the children. The working committee of mamta childcare trust will give necessary instruction as will as policy.

10. Target group and number of beneficiaries:
At present, there are 16 children are living in mamta children’s home hence the number of beneficiaries are 16 children. If the number of children increases in the future, at that time home will give necessary information to social welfare council.

11. Expected out comes:
The project will bring out following out comes:
a.Children will get on easy access to basic education and health care.
b.Children will be rehabilitated from who have no where to go.
c.Bare on extra curricular activates children have gaining wide general knowledge.
d.Children will keep themselves away from bad habits.
e.Children will get an opportunity for career development.
f.Children become a good citizen

12. Linkage with district line agencies and coordination with DDC/VDC/municipality and other concerned agencies:-
Children’s Home admits children on the recommendation of there local bodies, further more, Mamta Childcare Trust has good coordination /information with DDC/VDC and local police office.

13. Monitoring and evaluation:
Mamta childcare trust has manage a regular monitoring unit to the children’s Home. For the external monitoring government bodies, local people, social workers, beneficiaries, donor agencies and social welfare council will be done.

14. Regular reporting schedules:-
Mamta childcare trust prepares an annual process with auditor with reports. A copy of the reports will be submitted to social welfare council, donor agencies and other concerned authorities.
